Alien Amber is the subcollection of the Alien line from Thierry Mugler, where each creation pays tribute to a precious raw ingredient and is inspired by the Orient. The collection is made for "passionate lovers of rare perfumes and refined, elegant, raw materials." After the Alien Oud Majestueux edition with out from 2015, the collection expands with the new Alien Musc Mysterieux, inspired by musk. Alien Musc Mysterieux represents “an invitation to travel on a journey that highlights and enhances musk, one of the noblest ingredients in perfumery." The oriental - woody - musk composition is developed by Dominique Ropion so that it retains the signature notes of Alien, like samba jasmine and cashmere, adding white musk enhanced by sensual vanilla, together with a mixture of spices and saffron. It’s one of those listings.. at first glance you 3ml then the 300 original price, down ti 18.. no pic at all of the “sample “ just the bottle.. it’s meant to do exactly what it just did to me. I’m calling it how I see it. And you very briefly say, what it is, it’s not exaggerated that this is a sample from a full size bottle. In a separate glass sprayer that’s 3mls..

b_marshall Hi. Can you post a photo of the 3ml sample that you're actually selling please? Are you saying that the 3 ML Sample sells for $300? I ask, because the samples are usually given free....with or without purchase depending on the retailer. I almost purchased this..but thought...it's too good to be true. So I thumbed through the photos and reread the listing. But, the photos and the $300 Orig. Price are confusing.

wildechildrose @b_marshall Alien Musc Mysterieux is a discontinued and hard to find fragrance. A full 3 oz bottle cost between $225 to over $300. Samples of this fragrance is not available. The “free” in store samples are usually 1/2 full 1ml or 1.5 Ml. My listing is for 3ml (30-35 sprays) of the discontinued, expensive and hard to find fragrance. I hope that helps

wildechildrose @b_marshall I list it this way with the full bottle next to the sample bottle so that buyers see the authentic source their sample is coming from. I have many repeat buyers and all are happy with the samples they purchased. I apologize if the listing is confusing. I try to be very clear that it is a 3ml sample that is being sold.

b_marshall @vanessa11200 Thanks for clarifying this. Don't feel bad. I almost purchased it too thinking it was the bottles in the photo since the price said $300. But then it says it's a "sample", which are usually free...so I don't understand the listing as there's no photo of the item that's actually for sale. POSH ask us to be fully transparent in our listings so that this type of confusion and misunderstands can be avoided.😒

wildechildrose @b_marshall are you kidding me? What is there to misunderstand? Samples aren’t for free. Especially when it’s no longer being produced or sold because it’s discontinued. There are whole website dedicated to selling samples and decants of vintage and discontinued fragrances for other to try before committing to a full bottle purchase.
