The Wonderful World of Horses - 1977 Book - Angela Sayer - Hamlyn

I love old books like this for the covers (this one is a gorgeous rust brown), the rich colored photographs, and the stories that the inscriptions carry. This inscription reads: "Laura, Happy Girl's Day (March 3, 1979) Happy St. Patrick's Day (March 1979) Love, Grandpa & Grandma" This book was rediscovered on St. Patrick's Day, over 45 years later. There is a bit of yellowing on the title pages and inner covers but the photographs and text of the inside pages are all in very good condition. I think the best way to display old books like this, if not as your coffee table book or organized by color on your bookshelf, is displayed open and propped up on a shelf on your wall to one of the beautiful, rich photographs. Display it like a piece of artwork or painting without actually injuring the book and have the freedom to change the page to another picture on another day.
