This darling floral print is a tent dress from Doen’s early days as a coveted brand name that helped make nap dresses fashionable (finally!). In a size medium, this is a generous fit and could be worn by someone who generally wears a large depending on how you want the fit to fit. You can wear it cinched at the waist with the matching cloth belt that comes with it or let it hang loose sack style (I do both but I have a smaller size now that I wear all the time). It has smocking along the neckline that is a bit stretched but not too much (factored into the price). The same style stitching and elastic can be found at the sleeves and then the pretty stitching repeats itself at the bottom hem. This particular print is one of the best prints Doen ever worked with and it’s getting harder and harder to find the garments they made using this fabric. I’ve washed this by hand and dried flat every time. I stored it in a drawer rather than a hanger to preserve the neckline. It is in really good used condition with some visible wear. The fact it is more rare however is also determining my pricing.
