The Wedgewood Collector's Society Blue Jasperware Ben Franklin Plate

This is classic blue jasperware, Wedgewood's most easily identifiable and classic color. An image of Ben Franklin is picked out in lovely white contrast. Plate measures 4.3/8". Stamped WH for William Hackwood on Ben Franklin. Hackwood worked for Wedgwood from 1769 until 1832, starting at around 13, but after some years became the main modeller in the factory, finishing and making the moulds for the designs of others, and sculpting his own. Wedgewood, Made in England with an encircled R on the reverse. No flaws.
