The Variety Club I 1997 Gold Heart Pin I Children's Charity

From Variety, The Children's Charity, this is one of their collectible Gold Heart pins from their annual Gold Heart Campaign/Appeal, this one from 1997. The pin is gold in color and features a dove and a heart. This would have been a huge year for them as this was the year Titanic was released, so many, many of these pins were sold for $2 each, for an excellent cause. This was a novel, and excellent idea to raise money for this charity, when people always went to movie theaters. This was the 7th pin issued, the first one being in 1991. At time of this listing, 2024, pin is 27 years old. Note, the pin being metal is highly reflective, so the images were taken super close-up in order to keep those reflections at bay as best I could. With the naked eye, it looks like a pretty, shiny, gold pin, no flaws.
