adv020474 @beatrizvelez25 it is insulated with goose down. The outer shell is not water proof so I'm not sure how good it would be for skiing. I have an Under Armour ski jacket in my closet that may work for you.

adv020474 @jtan3 I apologize for the delay in answering your question. This coat is down filled so it's very soft and squishy similar to a packable jacket just fuller. It's hard to say how thick it is.
