A button on the 316L stainless steel case activates a six-second LED backlight that displays a raised relief of the Moon viewed in its waning gibbous phase, revealing the broad impact basin of Mare Imbrium in the north (marking the general vicinity of 12-o'clock) and Tycho crater in the south. The difference in thickness between the shadowed and illuminated sections imparts a 3D quality to the watchface, similar in effect to the lunar terminator. With reliable three-hand Miyota quartz movement and a scratch-resistant crystal dome.
