Yeah, big front has moved on through, and I'm back on my feet. Thank you for all the notes, prayers, and positive vibes. Winter is the hardest time of the year for me, followed only by the rapid changes of Fall. nhlangel75 Sucks. I have Lupus SLE, Sjogrens, and Fibro and I think Fibro causes the most pain of all of them. .Because nothing helps for me. Not even opiates on the bad flares. Feel better soon!

luvsmink @toryshop ....I'm sorry to hear that you, too, deal with this. Taking care of my Mom was very difficult and especially as she started to begin the end of life. I went through Alzheimer's with my Dad five years prior. It's very difficult watching our parents age, and then they're gone. My problems stem from a horrible car accident in 2010. I'm just thankful for all the good days, and try so hard not to allow others to know about the bad days.

toryshop @luvsmink Sadly my problem is a bit different than yours or my Mom's /I'm battling cancer/but it does make my whole body ache on some days/I'm hanging in/Being treated at Mayo Clinic/MN/and I'm on some new drug therapy experimental right now/but I'm hanging in/and I think I too have good days & bad/but hopefully more good is what I'm praying for! marleyblue @luvsmink No worries. ..I don't mind you asking! I try hot baths, massage when I can find the time. Advil etc doesn't have any effect so I don't bother. The drs have been trying to put me on meds for years but I don't want to take anything. I basically just "deal" with it. I was feeling much better when I exercised regularly but I stopped do to my hectic schedule. I definitely feel worse since stopping. And now I don't have the energy to try again :(

luvsmink @marleyblue ..Unfortunately, I am on meds. Mine started after a car accident when a semi truck hit my car. When I find a good masseuse who understands spinal injuries &Fibro, I get as many massages as affordable. Hot showers help ( I'm unable to climb in/out of the tub because of the "fall factor"), & also use a heating pad in the winter. I can tolerate up to a level of 7 on the pain scale, & then I'm down. The sudden weather changes that the Midwest is famous for that really hit me hard.

luvsmink @marleyblue ......Marlene, the meds help, but also have their side effects and restrictions. Because of the damage to my body and central nervous system, I couldn't manage without meds; I would be bedridden. It's been a long struggle, but I'm thankful every day that God allowed me to live. It's been even harder on my husband and family.

sunnybiasi Prayers for you! Thank you for sharing your struggle- it helps people who are also suffering feel less isolated. I'm a chronic migraine sufferer and the weather fluctuations are hard for me, as well. My sister has fibro and migraines. It's no fun and definitely effects our families, not only us as we struggle. bluidvll Myself as well as many friends and family have done anitbiotic therapy which can be done with any condition in the rheumatoid family which fibro is. I have lupus and I have been in a remissive state ever since I did my second run of antibiotic IV therapy, I only had to do twice cuz my rheumatologist did not believe in it and took me off my oral antibiotics, Ever since my 2nd treatment I have been 90% better and I do not even take oral antibiotics anymore. theroadback.org Check it out.

I've had 19 back surgeries, and developed the autoimmune disorder. I also have Hashimoto's Disease of the thyroid, and Fatty Liver Disease. During the car accident, I had a traumatic brain injury that has messed up my nervous system, and short term memory. I work with 4 neurologists and a pain mgmt doc.

bluidvll Well I am a sufferer of Lupus as I stated but been in remission for several years now. I hope I never get to 19 back surgeries but I will be having surgery number 6 on my back but only to remove my spinal stimulator as it has a dead battery and does not help with back pain anyway. Good luck to you I do not envy you but definitely am very empathetic to your pain thats for sure.

luvsmink @heartboston ...Monique, I here for you as well. If your doc states that this is a fictitious disease, then ask why he would prescribe meds for it?? Wouldn't he be afraid of losing his license?? Research proves that fibromyalgia is real; even children can suffer from overstimulated nerves. With weight gain, have your thyroid checked. 85% of women go undiagnosed with thyroid problems.

luvsmink @heartboston ......most family physicians do not order the correct thyroid tests. Either ask for a referral to an endocrinologist, or ask your doc to run a T3, T4, and a Free TSH test. The free is not "free"; it's the name of the test. As for the Lyrica, write a letter to the manufacturer; sometimes they help with cost or give free meds.

rmccouture Ugh. I know too well how you feel Suanne. I'm glad to know that you're feeling better. Staying away from stressful situations helps me manage my symptoms. Often, of course, it's impossible, however there are certain times when I can choose to engage with toxic people who always cause my symptoms to increase, and at those times, it's good to remember that I'd rather be pain-free than right❤️

luvsmink @lbaxter0416 ....Sorry you're not getting relief in Florida, either. Mine is exasperated by my bulging discs and laminectomy of six years ago. I have tons of arthritis all through my spine, along with nodes that have formed around the surgical sites. I could manage through the Fibro, but the spinal stuff keeps me from walking at times. This just happens to be one of those times. 😔😔😔

When Pat passed away at the end of May I have had such a hard time trying to help Rachel get thru life without her mom. Pat left me the executor of her will and the trustee over Rachel's trust and she had no idea what she was getting me into. I really don't mind. I love being here for Rachel but it's been the hardest year of my life.
