Not to mention the filthy house that takes me to the brink of pain just to keep tidy, don’t know what I would do if I had kids. @1centwiz ugh no fun - not sure if this would be a good fit for you, but I have a musculoskeletal disorder and I started Dry Needling Therapy about 5 years ago and it’s offered the best pain relief. I realize it may not be what you need, but I’d never heard of it outside my doctor’s referral and gosh can it help with nerve pain, so I thought I’d mention it. I’m keeping you in my thoughts and sending light and love your way.

@justine_steph ~ Yes! That has been helpful, finally got to see a specialist for myofacial pain, got 6 of the approved sessions before the time ran out. Dealing with workers comp and living out of state is horrible. Waiting for approvals after several denials has been the bain of my healing success. I get some relief, then by the time I get to go again, I am just as bad as I was to begin with.

~ 😂🤣😳 I think my brain injury is a blessing now, I just forget how bad the days were before and remain Hopeful for a better tomorrow. 🤣😉 Bottom line is, we are all born to age and rot on the bone. Some haven’t had as much fun as I have apparently! 😂🤣 Being a rough and tumble girl has been a fun ride!

@1centwiz Yikes! I hope you feel better soon! Will your doctor give you Tizanidine? It’s a 4 hr major muscle relaxer. It saved me for a while. Spasms are the worst! It’s strong but is short-acting and it somehow is magic as you feel the muscle let go!

@minedthemanor ~ one I haven’t tried! The last one was dantolene sodium and Natrexalone both are Calcium 2 inhibitors and caused me to sweat all the time! That was fun😂🤣👍🏻😎 but those are anti-convulsants. Lyrica worked, got my arm back, but became a raging bull. Had to stop that. Drugs are tricky for me with the side effects. 🧩 has its down falls along with all the super gifts!

@1centwiz I hear you! I can’t take flexeril or I sleep for 16 hours 😂. Hence, the tizanidine. It does have some interactions so check with a knowledgeable doc or pharmacist before you try it and make sure you are in bed before you take it! I haven’t taken it in years so I don’t know for sure if it’s still out there but it was the most effective one I have ever tried! Hope you are feeling better 😊❤️

Trying to be hopeful but so far workers comp just keeps denying me services because the drs here don’t know how to fill out the paperwork for California. @ftblfam218 ~ Well the video of my neck spasming while I talk now was a winner. He signed a paper that says I am unable to work, so hopefully disability will see that and grant it to me. Still need to wait to see if I get denied for the 7th time or not. Thank God for videos when I “Look Fine”. Seriously that is what the last denial judge put in the denial ! 🤣😂

@ftblfam218 ~ but no pain relief now for another 6 weeks because it was denied due to paperwork error on the drs part. Pretty discouraged actually about the whole thing but don’t know what else to do. Dr wants me to go to the Cleveland clinic for Chronic Pain, but if Medicaid won’t approve and workers comp wont approve then I don’t get to go.

It's a disgrace the stuff you see here in Florida too. Botox is nasty stuff I don't know if I'd try that either. I really hope the process is fast and you can get somewhere to get some pain relief 😓

@1centwiz what about marijuana or CBD, I know that won't release the nerve but may make it bearable for a few hours a day. I haven't tried it but the oils and stuff just became legal in Florida, not the smokeable kind.

@ftblfam218 ~ CBD is awesome! I take that twice a day, helps relax a bit, but usually makes me so sleepy I nap a lot. 🤣 The smokable kind, depending on the THC content helps, but can make me too anxious id the THC is too high. when I smoke then take the cbd it seems to help for a tad but mostly just helps distract from the pain. My brain is a bit different being autistic and having a childhood brain injury.

And yet I have spent almost 19 years now trying to prove that my pain is real and not all in my head. I have had drs tell me that I create my pain in my head. I have had drs tell me that I am causing my pain and that I need to learn Mindfullness.

I am a doer and when I cant do, I get stressed. My energy runs whacko if I have nothing to do. Sooooo glad for this platform for many reasons, mostly for people like you that also have issues with pain, I am not alone! 😎😉

I totally understand when people and doctors can't understand the pain because it's not right in their face 🤬 sad but true. The CBD and marijuana options are just starting to become mainstream here in FL. I have tried a few CBD rubs, but the ones with higher potency are so expensive and I can't afford that.

@1centwiz They haven't legalized the smokeable medical marijuana here yet, only oils and edibles I think... I'd be very hesitant to try the smokeable anyway right now because I have a baby... and I don't know how my body would react. Maybe if it's an option when she gets older than I'd try it. I can't do back surgery either because I can't be down and out for that long, my husband works 2 jobs and we can't afford for him to take time off to take care of me and our daughter.

@ftblfam218 ~ the edibles take awhile to take effect so doesn’t work for my nausea. The rubs are good. It helped the arthritis in my shoulder and it does help reduce the muscle spasms in the muscles for a bit. Better than nothing! Thank you for the chat! Makes me not feel so alone! 😎👍🏻😘

@maucri ~ well yes but they don’t work. Ya my TmJ was so bad i could barely open my mouth! Now after grinding my teeth back to where the bite is back (all the crowns had shifted my bite) and a bite guard at night, it is getting better! Highly recommend the bite guard where the front teeth touch and not the back ones.

@maucri ~ I shouldn’t say the meds don’t work, i just have terrible side effects from them. They have tried so many different ones trying to find one that doesn’t make me a meany! They mess with my brain, and after my head injury as a kid, well it is already a tad bit different. 😂🤣

I just got trigger Point injections yesterday for my head and neck so hopefully my headache still be a little bit less & I have to go to the eye doctors next week because my eyes are just really killing me, I don’t know what’s wrong with them I have Sjogren’s and I just think that they’re really dried out I’m having a really hard time with them! 🙃

@teamposhlove ~ Sounds like a busy summer‼️🙏🏻 for the tubes, hopefully they will help with the drainage and the ear problems. vaca sounds fun, anywhere nice is a good vaca! And the thing with Mike just happened on Mon. big change around here, as I am now helping him out and I am exhausted, 😂. Got an MRI on my low back coming up in July, hopefully will show low back issues clearly. Until then, garden is therapy and pain, but worth it. 🥰😎🤣

Come to find out he actually had the stroke about 4-5 years ago when he went and had his leg veins worked on. We thought it was a bad reaction to the drugs because they gave him extra.

@ftblfam218 ~ today had spasm where it hurts to breath, cough and sneezing is scary, this too shall pass. I have heat on it and took half a muscle relaxer hoping it will nudge it free. Or at least make it so I can lay down. 👍🏻

@ftblfam218 ~ I was a nanny when I had my carpal tunnel surgeries. The little girl was only 18 months old and she loved to swing. I couldn’t lift her so I bent down on one knee and showed her how to climb up and in and out and down. It is amazing what you can fix up to accommodate things.

@ftblfam218 ~ ya that would be sad, at least you can put her up on the couch to hang with you! Or on the bed near the top. I used to box in my sister when she was little with the pillows. That way she couldn’t roll off. When she got bigger we made tent forts with the couch. That way she would nap with me safely.

@ftblfam218 ~ Time for her Helper Bench it sounds like too. Mom had one that was like a high chair and it was also a step stool. Also good for the bathroom so she can wash her hands by herself. Put her snacks in little containers ahead of time down low so she has her own cupboard of things. Cups, bowls, plates.

@ftblfam218 Then she can help herself when it is time. Teaching independence is key. Have her do what you do. So if you have cereal then she can too. Mom even put half cup a milk in a tupperware cup so if we spilled it was only that much not the while carton!

@minedthemanor ~ ya so no. They won’t test for it. They did give me a script to get a blood draw for Magnesium deficiency, but you can only really tell from a pee sample. So that is a waste of time and money. Gonna work on my hormone balance as the night sweats with the drop in bp is alarming to me, not so much to the drs however. Nothing to do with pain, so no help. Yet it all falls together. Praying for that one dr that will help figure this out with me. 🙏🏻

Some days I get a few hours on ice and heat and other days I am stretching the spasms all day. My garden is putting out zucchinis like crazy, so got to share some with the neighbors today. Mike is trading out the explorer for a new Camry this weekend. Something he said he will drive. Lol plus we didn’t need a three seater huge SUV for just the two of us. Our ideas of camping went out the window when he had his wreck last year. His back says, “Awe Hotel Bed” type of camping now. 🤣🥰

💪 Yes! I've trapped and spayed So many cats! Hopefully this is the last.
I'll post pictures in my closet of each one, I use pillow cases over the cages & add a table spoon of wet cat food inside.
My neighbor said she has 2 traps i can use. so that saved us some money.
im using my posh money to accomplish this.
Fingers crossed that this will be the last of them & no one is already pregnant. 🎶🎶🎶

Mike loves it, but it is low and so time will tell when he gets bored with it or can’t get out of it anymore! Lol for me, it won’t matter soon enough if these muscles keep acting up. @1centwiz so sorry, darn it! Did you get any relief at all?? I have a hard time getting in and out of those low cars.. i bump my head and my knees don’t like it..🙄 Prying that you will have release with the acupuncture.

I am sorry your not doing well, I total understand the feeling for I suffer from lupus and it is a day by day for me. @808classysassy ~ Oh girl how sad for you... I lost my Tigger kitty in Feb. was missing him terribly last night. I just needed to zone out a bit, my hand is doing better, but now they are telling me I have to learn to breath properly again. ??🧐🤨 ya I think they missed the fact that I can't swallow well,and have frequent choking experiences.... maybe that is why my neck muscles are whacked? 🤣🤣😉

@gaylenknack ~ Oh wow, what is DJD? I have multiple issues honestly, chronic pain is from the neck injury and they cut/hurt the nerve in my hip when they did the bone harvesting for the fusion. That and I had bad side effects from the drugs they put me on since now they figured out that I am Autistic. So now finding out more about CPTSD from my life as it unfolded the way it did because "I didn't know"....

@1centwiz Ohhhh. Dejenerative disk disease. I read about your spine and your disk damage is familiar. They wanted to do neck surgery on me at one point for the pain, but we opted out. DJD is basically my disks steadily disintigrating. (Read yucko back pain). I wholly understand CPTSD, and am very sorry. Bravo to you for Poshing and working your good days.

@gaylenknack ~ Ya I have that too... fused myself at c1/c2 facet joint on the left side and the rt shoulder has Arthritis due to working retail all my life. Thankful no bone spurs on my neck surgery fusion. But ya, we just do the best we can with what we have. I trust God has a reason for it all... and that someday we will all be pain free and super happy. In the meantime, I am thankful I got to do all the things I have been able to do.

🙋♀️Hope u get you feeling better! I know that most meds don’t help as much as we’d like. For fibro & sciatica & arthritis I’m trying the homeopathic route right now. Helps a little. No side effects. Getting rest seems to help more- if one can sleep. Today will be smiles 😀& sunflowers🌻🌻 Take care🌻🌻🌻

Hey! I’ve been thinking of you. I had a rough 2022 with three major surgeries: hysterectomy that left major nerve trauma, two level fusion in my neck, and then a nerve root decompression also in my neck. Low back keeps getting worse and I’m basically bedridden at this point. Thrilled to no longer have neck pain. I keep thinking of you as my Posh hero. You accomplish so much with what you love through. I’m proud of you. Hope your current flare is getting better. - Julia
