Exquisite long dress from the Johnny Was Collection. Empire “waist” (although it hangs straight) with a subtle ruffle all the way around. Twelve (yes 12, that one that looks missing was just not buttoned for its photo op 😅) delicate shell buttons, classic cupra rayon, taupe colored (sort of a grayish tan), silkscreened with cream colored roses. Perfect, understated and upscale, classy dress for summer … mother of the bride?

Hi! I’m looking at this for my 80 year old mom who is getting married in a couple of weeks. How sheer is the slip dress? Also, do the roses sparkle a little? I don’t think so but she can’t tell. Thank you!

@pearl32515 Hi, thank you for looking! It’s sheer enough that I wore a taupe slip underneath, and no, the roses aren’t sparkly. It’s very understated and classy. The delicate shell buttons are probably the bling-y-est thing about it. (Congratulations to your sweet mom!)
