njrudolph @carolw2013 I'm so sorry! I don't know why it didn't notify me of your question. I'm just seeing this! I've been out of town so I do apologize for the delayed response. The strap has a total length of a about 20" from side to side. When laying flat, the drop from mid strap to the zipper is 8". That measurement could be more depending on how full the purse is. It's like a hobo bag but has the zipper on top. Let me know if you have any other questions.
