Tahitian black pearls

Lustrous and decadent, this necklace showcases Black Tahitian Cultured Pearls, 8.5-9.0 mm, worn as 36” opera length or a double 18” strand with the 18K gold and Mabe pearl clasp. Purchased in Asia in the late 1960’s, and owned by original purchaser for 70+ years. Tahitian pearls can contain various undertones and overtones of green, pink, blue, silver and yellow. Most “black” Tahitian Pearls are actually charcoal grey, silver, or dark green. The most valuable are of the darker variety.
