This is a beautiful Tahitian mabé or blister pearl still encased in it’s original shell from Rarotonga. Mabé pearls, also known as blister pearls, are half-pearls that are cultivated on the inside of a mollusk's shell. The shell surrounding the Pearl has been cut into an interesting shape with the pearl still encased. Ready to be made into a gorgeous one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry. Excellent condition.
