Tagua Nut 2 Layer Necklace

Tagua jewelry is made from a Tagua palm nuts.This palm tree is native to Ecuador’s rainforest. Each 7 years the female tagua tree produces nuts. The clusters containing these seeds mature and fall on the ground. The seeds are collected, dried, the thick husk is peeled, until ivory color flesh is revealed. This marvelous product is then sliced into multiple shapes, sanded dyed and handmade into artisanal jewelry. This is a "green" product, tagua is a gift of Nature!
