Tadashi Dress - Black Chiffon Mermaid Tiered Ruffles Evening Gown - Sz 2

Extremely flattering columnar evening gown by Tadashi. - made in the late 90s, never worn. Dress has an asymmetrical hemline & thin spaghetti straps but can also be worn strapless. Straps have sliders you can move up & down to make the length just right for you. Dress is built on a black jersey fitted sheath-like base, then each light chiffon ruffle is sewn to it slightly overlapping the one & creating a lovely fluttering flower petal effect of 14 ruffled tiers altogether. Easy on/off w/ invisible back zipper. A very well made high end evening gown originally bought at Nordstroms is in like-new condition. I find no flaws or signs of age or use. I bought this to wear to my sons wedding in 1998. When our family got together to discuss what we were wearing both my sons & the bride-to-be asked me not to wear this dress because they felt it was too glamorous and sexy and would take attention away from the bride. Of course I did not want to do that so I agreed to find another dress. This one was so pretty that I decided to keep it. Now it is vintage! I have never worn it. I think it is time to find it an owner who can wear and enjoy it and show it off. Size 2 - measurements coming. Mannequin is a size 6. It is too small for her. Fits true to size. Fabric is stretchy and fits the figure with negative ease so dress adjusts to shape of wearer thereby creating a custom fit.
