Hi, sorry this bag does not come with the tracer. According to Tumi, not all bags are equipped with the tracer. I do now know what you mean (I call it the serial number, but I guess I'm wrong LOL). This bag is not very substantial and is a carry on bag... I have an upgraded carry on bag now that is larger and has the thing on the back to keep it from falling off the luggage. This is more like a large purse/carry on. Also, this is listed elsewhere and also does not have the tracer on it.
