TRINKET BOX ORNATE ANTIQUE BROADHEAD & CO. SHEFFIELD C. 1850’s

This lovely and very distinguished trinket, tobacco box is from BROADHEAD and Co, Sheffield. Lovely handle top, not sure if made from bone or wood. Lovely accent and beautiful details throughout. Hinged lid worked perfectly. Needs some gentle cleaning and care. Vintage piece and photos accurately show the condition. Some of the electric plating may be off, which I find gives it more character, and I have shown this piece from all sides. Love this very rare find! It is a beauty! This box is a rare find indeed! In 1853, Broadhead’s partner, Atkins, died and the company became Broadhead & Co. Broadhead & Co. ceased to exist in 1860, which dates this hinged box somewhere between 1853 and 1860.
