At tax time you need a good bean counter and this Woodspirit is sitting on a hill of beans counting away with a pencil in his ear.
In 1978, Dr. Clark created a small gnome, taking inspiration from the cover art of the well-known book "Gnomes," illustrated by Rien Poortvliet. With his vivid imagination, he crafted additional diminutive forest inhabitants, dubbing them "Woodspirits" to honor their symbiotic existence with nature.
Tom Clark is best known for his warm and whimsical gnomes, woodspirits and other limited edition collectible sculptures. His woodspirits (gnomes) are clay sculptures, made from crushed pecan shells. Each sculpture is a limited-edition collectible.
