A lovely copy. ; Written and illustrated by two-time award-winner Marguerite De Angeli, Thee, Hannah tells the story of a young Quaker girl growing up in Philadelphia just before the Civil War who longs to have colorful dresses and pretty bonnets instead of her plain, unadorned clothes. However, that changes after Hannah has a chance meeting with an escaped slave who admits that she initially trusted Hannah because of her distinctive Quaker bonnet.
