This Vintage Vinyl LP from 1985 has been • CLEANED & PLAY-GRADED 👍 'Greatest Hits' is a compilation album by American New Wave Rock band The Cars, released in October of 1985, by Elektra Records. The collection includes 11 hit songs from their self-titled debut album in 1978, through their 1984 album, 'Heartbeat City'. A previously unreleased song, 'Tonight She Comes' and a remix of 'I'm Not the One', were also included and issued as singles to support the album. 'Greatest Hits' was a commercial success, peaking at #12 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. The single 'Tonight She Comes' peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1986 and reached #1 on the Top Rock Tracks chart, where it stayed for three weeks. Though the 1981 version of 'I'm Not the One' from 'Shake It Up' didn't chart, the 'Greatest Hits' remix of the song made it to the Top-40, peaking at #32.
