This historical romance "THE BLACK CANDLE" takes place in the mid 1800's in a village in England. Young Bridget Mordaunt runs the candle and blacking factory which she had inherited at a very young age. She is well loved by the workers and town. She defends a man wrongly accused of murder. She unexpectedly becomes involved with the two sons of a declining aristocratic family. The family's legacy of love and hate, good and evil, privilege and deprivation over three generations, begin to be revealed.
