This is a tested & working Franklin Computer Spelling Ace from the 1980s. This device is essentially a spell checker. You type in a word that you want to check. If it is spelled correctly, it will stay on that word and "star" it. If it is not spelled correctly, a list will form of all of the different words it could be that you can scroll up and down.
