TABRA Black Onyx Shield & Spear Chandelier Earrings

Take a walk on the wild side in a dazzling pair of Tabra tribal earrings. Tabra is known for creating ethnic inspired jewelry that combines native patterns and universal symbols in contemporary, style statements. These dramatic, boho chic, shield-style earrings feature triangular, jet black, onyx stones surrounded with a sterling silver frame. Each earring displays five, 1-1/2"L x 1/4"W, sterling silver, spear dangles impressed with a textured stripe pattern. This low-relief, ribbon of design is repeated on the trim surrounding onyx focal-point. A variety of cascading flourishes composed of the silver spears; onyx beads; Swarovski crystal; glass lampwork; red, lined, glass beads; and trade beads are suspended from bottom of the shields. Like all Tabra chandelier earrings, this waterfall of ornaments sound like rain as they move about. These striking earrings are from around the 1980's and are in perfect condition. They were never worn. Both earrings are artisan signed on the back near the post (visible in picture 5) with the 925 sterling silver designation below. Earrings measure 3-1/4"L from the top of the triangular, 1-1/8"W shield to the bottom of the longest spear and are approximately 7/8" across the dangles when still.
