Suzy Perette New York was a label they copied Dior patterns for the US market, and this dress has all the Dior trademarks — done up in midnight blue virgin wool, making for a fabulously wearable piece of history. TO DIE FOR. Back metal zipper with hook and eye closure, Peter Pan collar, cuffs at sleeves, and front inverted V pleat. Military inspired button detailing at front. Gives you a delicious Dita Von Teese silhouette. An extremely special piece. I see similar Suzy Perette dresses go for $400 and up, and Dior midcentury dresses go for $1,000 and up. A tiny pinhole on front, kick pleat has some loose threads, right armpit gusset has a little wear, and I repaired a popped seam on a sleeve. All flaws are repairable and only seen upon very close inspection. Ready to wear, or simply to savor.
