Surgery

Dear Posh Friends Wanted to use this post as an encouragement to all of you facing surgery like myself. As I’m struggling with the reality that I need surgery. Hoping my struggle will help encourage someone. I am trying to focus on the blessing of today. Like my son being given extra time to come home for Thanksgiving. I have never had to face surgery in my 52 years of life. My heart goes out to you that have had to face multiple surgeries. I am so scared, stressed and anxious it is overwhelming at times. I will literally talk myself out of surgery and that I am crazy for even contemplating it. The thought of losing body parts to lessen my pain is also unnerving. I am hoping if any hysterectomy sisters out there could shed some light on your personal journey, what an encouragement that would be. Also just a reminder that we are not alone with this pain. I was diagnosed with endometriosis almost 3 years ago. My biggest source of pain is that I have many fibroids, 5 that are larger than grapefruits. So you can just imagine the pain. I should be in menopause they say I am but my periods are closer in time and stressing my heart. So what I have tried to avoid for so many years. Is no longer an option. The goal is to get my body to make it to 1-14-22 and avoid emergency surgery. So I am sharing in hopes that my journey could help and encourage someone out there. (Please read the comments below)
