Super Rare Pink Fire Covellite in Quartz Loose Gem In natural light has little specs, but one hit the light just right there’s beautiful, hot pink sparkles. Completely natural Covellite inclusion.  I purchased planning to set it in a ring, but never got around to it. 1cm by 3/4 cm 8.6 mm width by 9.4 in length “Pink Fire" Quartz from Espiritu Santo Brazil, 2005 - extinct localilty on national land that cannot be mined again. This fascinating quartz has a clear, soft smoky brown body color, but the inclusions of tiny flakes of the copper mineral covellite flash a brilliant hot pink when light hits them as you turn the gem.
