Stunning Early 50’s Bridal Creations Vintage Wedding Dress

Originally an estate sale find that I’ve cleaned up - hoping someone who needs it will fall in love like I have! Featured on the cover of the Modern Bride Winter 1951-2 magazine, this dress is absolutely stunning, covered in sequined bows, and beautiful lace. The dress is in good vintage condition, though definitely not perfect. Notes below regarding flaws I’ve noticed and what’s been repaired (shown in last few photos): - Minor areas of loss in the bodice/sleeve lace - I’ve repaired the larger and more noticeable areas, but some remain - The overlay of tulle was torn across the sides, I’ve stitched these areas back together, a thin line is noticeable upon close inspection, but when worn It’s not super obvious - I’ve reinforced the stitching on all the bows - The underlayer of the gown has some spots from age, and the back train portion is dirtier from wear. Could possibly be remedied by a professional dry cleaner. - The inner net layer has also been repaired at the hem, and larger holes sewn together throughout, however, quite a few remain especially near the top where it attaches to the bodice.
