Hi there! I am curious about your pocket watch do you mind if I ask you some questions about it? Thanks!
Jul 13Reply

juelpe
Yes, what are your questions
Jul 13Reply

winterelf
@juelpe How accurate are the phases? The time?
Jul 15Reply

juelpe
They are very accurate, I just had the battery replaced and my jeweler commented on what an amazing and rare time piece it is. A true moon phase watch is a rare find.

@neighbors968 hi, I purchased this pocket watch about 12 years ago. I have the value set at what is was at time of purchase and I am sure it is worth more now. It is a beautiful time piece and does keep a curate time. It is a rare true moon phase.

neighbors968
I don't know what you mean by a rare true moon phase the watch itself or it being with the moon on it?
Oct 08Reply

juelpe
@neighbors968 some time pieces have what looks like a moon phase dial but it is not functioal, it is just part of the design.

Where did you pay 3 grand for this? They were like $98 directly from stuhrling. I mean the miyota 6p21 movement is only $16. I know this because, I've replaced a couple of them for people before.
Jul 05Reply

juelpe
@jayzx6r this is a true moon phase pocket watch from a special edition collection about 20 years ago, price reflects the value of this time piece. Thank you for your interest.
Jul 05Reply

jayzx6r
@juelpe Wow, just wow. Yes, I know what moonphase is. I happen to have over 25 watches with that complication. Honestly, its nothing special in a modern quartz movement. Now, if you we are talking a 100 or so year old mechanical turn of the century movement housed in a solid gold case then you have something. You. However, have a Chinese made Japanese powered mass produced watch with a fair market value of 25-40 dollars. So, please again explain to me how that equates to 3 grand?
Jul 06Reply

juelpe
@jayzx6r I see you sell watches, this watch is not from a mass production line, it is from their swiss made line and the msp is 3500.00, could be more being a special edition from 20 years ago, you can't buy this watch and haven't been able to since they sold out 20 years ago. it was stated to me by a sturhling CEO that this particular pocket watch wouldn't be produced again due to it being a special edition.
Jul 06Reply

jayzx6r
@juelpe You do realize that the fact it states citizen quartz movement on the back of the case means that they can in no way shape or form legally advertise that watch as Swiss made in any way shape or form right?
Jul 06Reply

juelpe
@jayzx6r sorry to say you are wrong, citizen movements are made in Switzerland, that's where the high end watches are made, citizen has a huge factory in Switzerland.
Jul 06Reply

jayzx6r
@juelpe You're kidding right? Citizen movements are called miyota because they are made in miyota Japan.
Jul 06Reply

jayzx6r
@juelpe The MIYOTA Saku Factory started operations in December 2016

Jul 06Reply

juelpe
@jayzx6r no I am not kidding, citizen has a factory in Switzerland and makes movements for the higher end watches that are manufactured in Switzerland. I see that you only sell watches in your closet but I'm feeling a little targeted by you, I have sold 4 watches from my closet and had very happy buyers, the paperwork that came with the pocket watch verifies it's authenticity, I have all of the original packaging.
Jul 06Reply

jayzx6r
@juelpe Like I said I've fixed these watches before. You pop that back cover and I know for a fact a 6P21 is in there. The watch is called the monarch moon. There is literally nothing special about, nothing no matter what story you tell. Hell, I can even give you a link to stuhrlings website where they have it with multiple color dial options. Guess what they all look just like yours. So, how does your paperwork distinguish yours from them?
Jul 06Reply

juelpe
@jayzx6r look I don't know what your problem is but 2016 is 16 years after I purchased this timepiece and citizen has a manufacturing plant in Switzerland, they make the movements there for the swiss made watches, a watch has to be made. assembled and tested in Switzerland to deemed a swiss made watch, please research this and find the facts for yourself. This pocket watch is a collector's piece and the MSRP of 3500.00 was 20 years ago.
Jul 06Reply

jayzx6r
@juelpe my problem is I don't like people who try to rip other people off. you have yet to show me anything that is hard evidence that this isn't a cheap stuhrling watch. All you have is a bs story and you know it. Show the actual paperwork and the movement to prove me wrong.
Jul 06Reply

jayzx6r
@juelpe oh only the movement has to be made and tested in Switzerland to be called Swiss made. The watch itself can be assembled anywhere after that. Its called the 60% rule.
Jul 06Reply

juelpe
@jayzx6r you have that wrong as well, thank you for checking out my closet but could you please just tend to your own.

@jayzx6r Wow, You really honed in on this guy. It makes me sad that people go into other people's closets and create a negative thread for everyone to see. That's Not nice. Harassment is against Poshmarks rules. Please don't Bully People.Be Kind.🤗❤

my husband had this I remember we got it on a trip to san Francisco it was like $100
Jul 26Reply

juelpe
@tnikkicat you got a really good deal if it is the same watch, how long ago did he get it
Jul 26Reply

tnikkicat
@juelpe hi oh that was a long long time ago id say like close to 20 years ago
Jul 26Reply

juelpe
@tnikkicat it might look like the same watch but you purchased yours before this one was made, they have a lot of simular models, this on is designed with a full true moon phase, it's not an am, pm sun moon that you see in a lot of watches, it's a beautiful piece

This is very beautiful. would you be willing to send it thru the poshmark authentication process first?
Sep 13Reply
