Ajiro is a quintessentially Japanese weave that involves delicately weaving thin strips of bamboo and was historically used to make baskets. By combining different weave structures in this particular denim prior to performing a factory wash on the garment, the shrinkage results in a particularly uneven texture giving off a three-dimensional look to the fabric.
