The “wear” on these look more like cuts and a puncture on one of the shoes. What is your bottom line price? These defects can’t be repaired, and I’m not paying $40 when they are listed for just a little more in much better condition.

Go ahead and buy the others in better condition please! I don't want you to be disappointed. The puncture is clearly pictured and described in the listing. I will update description to be more specific- you are correct that it is a puncture and likely can't be repaired or it would be cost prohibitive to do so.
