Perhaps packing them properly would have prevented that from happening...
Regardless, you put delicate earrings in ziplock baggie then in an envelope with ZERO wrapping or protection.
You posted and sold these as “virtually new and only worn once.” That’s NOT what arrived. All in all, what you presented is not what arrived, you were negligent in how YOU DECIDED to ship them and you were delinquent in sending them.
That’s it - nothing else to discuss.
