Stone & Brass (?) Oval Box

Vintage pill box. Hinged oval with a stone lid and embossed gold tone (not sure if it's brass) detailing wrapped around the sides and on the bottom. The edge of the stone has gold tone braiding that is a a little rough at one end where the braid ends meet. Photos show detailing and size. I didn't clean out the interior because it has some gold flake inside 💛 I don't really know much about the box, but it's very attractive in really nice condition.
