My family purchased this gorgeous pendant in Israel. It is not stamped with Israel, but has .925 stamp, so I believe this may be pre-1948 star. It is approx 2 in tall x .5 wide. Per jeweler, this is dark turquoise. The silver portion has some tarnish & scratches typical of vintage jewelry, I have just had cleaned and shined. The teal color of the stone is gorgeous. I love the asymmetrical look of the pendant. I paired with a vintage .925 sterling silver necklace (not included).

@legaleased it just dawned on me that it could be pre 1948, and that is why it doesn't have the Israel stamp. So, purchased circa 1960, but could be older than that.

@ppamprrd The pendent is nice. I think it is over-priced for these reasons: The stone is not verified as Eilat or Turquoise. Any gemologist could do that for you. You aren’t selling it with a good chain. It isn’t polished. Searches on the web produce results with lower prices. The design is excellent, and that is why I like this pendent.

@legaleased got it. You raise goid points. I will take to my jeweler to verify and have polished. I polished the Sterling, but didn't want to touch the stone. Also, I would like to add Sterling chain, but my vintage chains seem to be a bit too think. How about I take care of that and tag you back.

@legaleased yes. I agree. My pricing was based more on the unusual asymmetric design. I researched other stars and didn't see anything like it. I try to only post vintage items that are unusual.
