hannastreasures @kscott0605 it’s tricky trying to photograph true colors sometimes. And they do sometimes fade to silver. It’s no trouble to check tomorrow, just committed this afternoon.

hannastreasures I have been studying this setting which is predominantly silver. There seems to be a gold tone encasing around the stone base. It may need some cleaning. This is a truly lovely garnet ring.

hannastreasures @kscott0605 their is No gold plating on the band at all. Maybe never was.

hannastreasures @kscott0605 it is marked 925 Sterling. I mistakenly chose the gold color dot on the listing options and have corrected that. There does seem to be a gold toned encasing beneath the garnet stone giving the setting some vibrancy, but that is very small. The photos sure do appear like faded gold plating. Since I did not buy this ring new, I cannot say if it was ever worn or not. Sorry for the confusion.
