I put about $200 into alterations but this dress was ultimately never worn (I found another dress I liked better). Originally an XS and altered to fit me (5' 4" + 4in heels, 26 waist, 34 bust, 36 hips). Still a touch loose and can be further taken in. Alterations include a button bustle, being taken in at the sides, hemmed (sewn up to maintain structure; can be undone), and shortened straps. With the alterations, fit feels like street size 2-4. The built-in bodysuit is stretchy, as are the straps.
