Antique, Used This company first appeared in the St. Louis City Directory in 1893 as the St. Louis Silver Company and all items produced were marked with the St. Louis Silver Company. The company produced goods through 1912 which makes these wonderful items true antiques. The Platter is in very good shape. There are lovely ornate details along the rim and handles. The Platter is stamped on the bottom with the Maker’s Mark and also imprinted with what may be a serial number as shown in the photographs. This Platter is in beautiful condition for being over 120 years old. The Platter shows some age and discoloration of the quadruple silver plate and as such, the quadruple silver plate possibly could use some polishing. bx14
