dominican65 @thriftstorebol, Thanks! Brown one on left is a my favorite. It is a bass purse that was given to me by my kids (hubby's) great-great grandmother. She gave it to me before she passed away. She secretly gave it to me.Lol,she didn't want the other family members to be jealous. Inside there's a ticket to a baseball game in the 1950's. Now how cool is that friend?

goodgaudy @dominican65 wow.. that's very neat about the ticket! I don't think I've seen a Bass purse that old or many of them at all. I have one kinda like it but it's an Aigner. Very special that she gifted to you and not someone that wouldn't appreciate it as much. ♡

dominican65 @thriftstorebol , you just made me curious so I did a Google search on that purse bass purse It is around the 1950s. My husband's great-grandmother who was my children's great-great-grandmother.She loved me. She was a great lady and she reminded me of Madea I don't even know if you seen the movies. She had a closet full of clothing that hat fur around the collars. The clothing were all from like the 1940s.

dominican65 I wanted to ask her for some of those clothes but as an in-law I didn't feel comfortable. She had a basement apartment downstairs and it was full of stuff from the 1950s . She had an ice box refrigerator and old fashioned washing machine and I just video taped it all cuz I couldn't believe it. She lived in Chicago and when she passed away five years ago the family just got rid of all of that stuff and they didn't appreciate it or understand the value of it

goodgaudy @dominican65 sorry I didn't get back sooner. Sometimes I'm too tired for all I have to say. She sounds like a real inspiration. How sad that you couldn't preserve some of her things that were really special. So irritating to think they just got rid of it all. As much as I love to sell if that had been my great great 'ma I'd be hanging onto as much as I could. When I was 15 I had a BFF that was 85 and I was able to keep some special things of hers when she passed.

dominican65 @thriftstorebol , amazing! I have been drawn to older people forever. One of my closest friends that I have now is about 77 years old. She is so full of wisdom and like a sponge I try to soak it up and absorb it all. You and I are alike in many ways. I am so drawn to you cuz I connect to you, because we are so similar. If I can just stop being a hoarder and I can get rid of my precious stuff that I don't use.....Lol. Bless you Sister!
