suesoko @twitchyventy hi! I'm not sure. The fit might be a bit off, and I would check with eligibility rules before purchasing/competing in it. However, I would say it would likely fit if they are under 125 lbs

suesoko @twitchyventy @twitchyventy This type of suit is typically used in the female category of high-level competing. Speedo makes other racing suits without the top half of this suit for swimmers competing in the male category. His teacher is probably thinking of a different type of suit if he is a beginner swimmer (maybe a wet suit?) and I would check with them to make sure

suesoko @twitchyventy I think it would fit, but I wouldn't guarantee it. The type of suit that Phelps once wore is now illegal to compete in, and so it is no longer made. If you are purchasing this suit for him to compete in, I would not suggest this suit as it is made for women

suesoko @twitchyventy ah I see! Just wanted to make sure you didn't make the wrong purchase since returns are tricky! :) personally I think it would fit well

suesoko @twitchyventy since it's designed for racing it's meant to feel pretty tight in order to reduce water resistance but it shouldn't be super uncomfortable. The straps are designed to minimize shoulder pain but they can still ache after wearing the suit for a long time. Also no underwear should be needed

suesoko @twitchyventy I would say after 3 hours they would start to ache
