This is perfect for the care of elderly dogs 🐕. While your strutting your stuff, make sure your pup is right by your side, and comfortable. Read the specs about measuring for size. The tags were removed but this was too large for my girl, since she lost so much weight, so she didn’t get to wear it. I did order the same one a size smaller, however and we love it! It helps me to “carry” her up the stairs and into the car.

mistycombs I have a sz large now that is super similar to this but not sure of the size. What is your guesstimate on the size dog this would fit ? I ordered a medium and large when I needed 2 large instead of the medium so I am hoping this would work.

torsoart @mistycombs hi misty. It’s best to go by the girth around the chest so it doesn’t slide around. I ordered the large and then I had to order the medium, which fits my Daisy, so I understand that it not exactly easy to judge It all because their body length, fur, etc. but get the most accurate size harness for your furry best friend, measure the girth of their chest, just behind the front legs, with a cloth tape measure.

torsoart @mistycombs Pull the tape snug, but not tight. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there’s enough room for about two fingers between the harness and your pup’s chest. Daisy is about 40 pounds, I guess, but it’s too large for her.

mistycombs @misseyesofblue last question. When you tried on daisy and it was too big was that making it the smallest you could with the adjustable strap? My baby is problem my about 75 lbs and the medium I bought was too small. He uses my others dog sz large but then I can’t walk them both. I’m thinking this is probably the exact same as the one I have. Hoping so anyway.

torsoart @mistycombs well, this one was too big for Daisy even with it tightened all the way. She was 50 something pounds, so I bought the large, but it was too big. I ordered the medium but she switched food because of her joint and hind issues. She lost 8 pounds. The medium one slips a little, but I double up the buckle under her neck. I

torsoart @mistycombs may sell that one now and buy the small! Lol. 🤷‍♀️ it’s the best though because I hold her up when she’s unstable. I hope this helps, because I know how hard it is to find one that fits right.

kellieistvan Does this have only one buckle and is it easy for arthritic hands to buckle?

torsoart @kellieistvan I have arthritis as well and I just pinch it to open and close. I can’t say for sure if it would be good for you, except that I have two of these and I like them! Hope that helps! It’s brand new. I tried it once, but it was too large for my dog, because she lost weight after a surgery, so I had to order her a medium.
