Space Age red vintage magazine rack from plastic designed and made circa 1970. The magazine rack features two compartments for the newspapers. Also it shows a handle for an easy handling. Elegant and geometrically perfect magazine rack; was made in Space Age style by hot molding a sheet of red plexiglass giving it the shape with essential and decisive lines; the measures are aesthetically proportioned. The style of magazine holder is the "Space Age", this aesthetic current was born at the dawn of the space age, commonly attributed to the launch of Sputnik in October 1957 and continued until the '70s. Plexiglas is a plastic material, whose "real" name is Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) or more simply Methacrylate, derived from the name of its structural polymers. Plexiglas is the best-known trade name. which has become commonly used today.
