Metal hinged frame for opening with a metal slider on each end to close. Very unique. 1 handle at top for hand carry and a removeable strap for shoulder carry. I use only cross body small bags now or I would keep. In excellent condition with only some scratches on frame. Nothing that takes away from the bag. see photos
