Sony Handycam DCR-HC40 Mini DV Digital Tape Camera Charger Partially Working

BATTERY DOES NOT HOLD CHARGE. Camera was tested with a known working battery from personal camera. This camera turns on and displays video. When initially turned on it displays "please reattach power source" and then shows a "case not open" message watermark. Because of this the camera is listed as is , for parts or partially working. The battery included DOES NOT hold a charge, will power on when attached to power source or with a working battery. The cassette door doesn't spring open and the metal cassette slier inside is also a bit finicky at times when tested. GRAY battery pictured will be included, this one does not hold a charge but is the original battery. The BLACK battery pictured was used to show camera powering on, this is NOT included.
