Im allergic to 925, is the gold overlay solid enough to prevent a reaction?

@kandizee hi yes it is but I can use stainless steel with gold plating, I think that would be the safest longest lasting choice for you. Shadow you think.

@lolas_boutique_ Im allergic to everything for some reason. every earring I wear makes my lobes swell/get irritated and fires up my lymph nodes if I try to "wait it out" lol. stainless/nickel free/hypoallergenic/etc. I got some 925 ones recently thinking silver would be safe and it did the same crap. the only earrings ive had that i didnt react to were gold so I guess golds safe. platinum or titanium may be safe too but havent tried those yet

@kandizee oh wow maybe they were. That’s odd. Usually silver is safe for most. That’s really terrible bc you have to spend a lot of money just to wear earrings and your choice options are very slim because of it! I’m so sorry you are dealing with that. I will look around at my suppliers and see how much I can get some gold filled for. That would for sure work. It’s JUST like gold will never ever rub off or have a quality issue at all .

Because with gold plated eventually it’s going to wear off ,especially if it gets wet at all. Gold plated will last you awhile but eventually it will wear off. So gold filled is your best bet. Let me look. Filled will cost bit more but it’s worth it but much much cheaper than solid gold.
