Magnificent Pouncing Lion Bronze Sculpture by Antoine-Louis Barry. Made using the Lost Wax Method of casting. Barry was a Romantic French sculptor most famous for his work as an Animalier, a sculptor of animals. He was born in Paris, France in 1795. He died in 1875 and was renowned for his work. This piece is signed “Barye” at the back of the Lion. This is a beautifully detailed and stunning piece. Total dimension is 7 inches by 7 inches. Marble base dimension is 5 by 3 inches.
