Smokey the Bear was created by a WWII Committee of Federal officials and advertising. Smokey first appeared in a 1945 poster. Since then, his slogan "Remember, only YOU can prevent forest fires" has become known throughout the country as a symbol of the U.S. Forest Service. Made of Bone China Mini figurine (set of 7) from the 1960-70s was produced in Japan. *They stand 1 1/2" tall-ish -Side note; with the angst in this current administration and their stand on national parks and park rangers….
