Smeg Drip Coffee Maker

Bought this coffee maker two months ago and all of a sudden it stopped turning on. I have already gotten a replacement through Smeg, but can't justify throwing away the broken coffee maker in hopes that someone will know how to fix it. Please understand this coffee maker does not work and will need to be fixed. From what I read online, it could be just changing a fuse. There is no physical damage to the maker.
