Slice of Watermelon Earrings

Vintage watermelon pierced post earrings. Not certain if these are clay or ceramic. They're lightweight and the post is attached with regular jewelry glue, they could be handmade. They show definite signs of being vintage because of the back posts. I've searched all over the Internet and I can't find anything like these, which leads me to believe they are home crafted. There are two shades of green in the rind & the inside pink is a very pretty blush pink, with of course - the details of the little hand-painted seeds perfectly in line!
