dville What material is the mushroom inside/interior?

sunshinejewels @dville I just took them out to give them another look. I had thought maybe they were styrofoam but they are a much harder material. They look very vintage, I'm really not sure what they are made of. I don't want to take one apart to see and possibly ruin one.
