Silverplate Candy Dish by Poole

Vintage, Circa 1970’s, Footed Candy Dish in Silverplate from the Poole EPCA Old English Collection . 6-1/2” on dia. Very good used condition, and very heavy in weight. Note in one pic, I think there is a flaw, but I can’t be sure. It might be able to be polished out, but since its silverplate, it’s hard to say. While polishing it, I purposely wanted to leave some of the dark patina around the edges…I think it makes it look very charming. Poole Silver Company founded in 1895 in Taunton Mass, an early developer of electro-silver plating techniques, typically plated plated over Copper. Later, in the 19th Century, they began working in Sterling, and were eventually sold to Towle.
