themodhauter @livelovebhappy they probably aren't, but you might check if they're magnetic. The 925 mark wasn't in regulated, widespread use until the late 80. I bought a compact at a yard sale years ago for $1 with no metallurgy marks. Turned out to be $940 worth of solid gold.
